We grow Successful Small Farms, Thriving Communities, and Healthy people.
The North Carolina A&T State University Small Farm Research and Innovation Center helps North Carolinians, farmers, ranchers, and food and agricultural producers grow thriving, local, and regional food systems, natural environments, communities, and agriculture systems by providing access to research, education, resources, partners, and opportunities.
Welcome to the Regeneration Engine
The Small Farm Community and Regeneration Engine (Regeneration Engine) is a collaboration of the Small Farm Research and Innovation Center and Open Future Coalition to innovate the sourcing and delivery of social, technical, and financial solutions that help people, organizations, and places thrive and prosper perpetually with nature’s ever-changing regenerative cycles. The Regeneration Engine is a digital enterprise resourcing system designed to help people, groups, projects, organizations, and resources connect to share learnings, solutions, and success as they pursue and achieve their goals in a trusted, safe, and transparent environment. Welcome to the Regeneration Engine.
Use AI Assistance to find the people, resources, and answers you need. This tool focuses solely on sources shared in the Regeneration Engine to ensure rigorous review, vetting, and validation of the information being shared. Not a fan of robots? Browse the thousands of partner resources our AI assistants have and engage with people, projects, and organizations through the links below.
Search the Resource Library to find vetted, government, university, and community programs, resources, partners, and information to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Do you have a recommendation or problems finding what you need? Request or recommend a resource here. We’ll try to get you what you need. If you have resources or a library you would like to contribute, we can help you with that as well..
Find and connect with cooperative extension agents, experts, and like-minded individuals to expand your community, network, and capacity. You can explore as a guest or ask for a free personal profile here. Users with profiles receive a personal dashboard and feed to help manage resources, project activities, and communications across people, groups, projects, and organizations. Everyone’s personal information belongs to them and is only shared with their permission.
People, projects, and organizations convene communities of practice and common purpose in Groups. They are naturally social and function much like a resource library of people, organizations, and projects, welcoming engagement and exploration. The Regeneration Engine convenes Studio Labs in groups to help people move their personal, community, and enterprise efforts forward based on their needs and stage of development.
Projects are created and managed by Organizations that invite people to manage work and collaborate. Projects are provided with task and project management tools and assistance from organizations that sponsor them. The Engine supports projects, teams, and accountability with feeds and tools for workflow planning, task tracking and management, impact validation and dashboards, fundraising, reporting, calendaring, resourcing, and communication management. You can request project support from the Regeneration Engine’s Enterprise Engine.
Organizations manage and sponsor communities of people, groups, and projects to deliver their services. They manage permissions and the overall direction of their community (people, groups, and projects) within the broader ecosystem of the Regeneration Engine. Groups collectively resource people, groups, and projects, and record the exponential impact of their collaborations. Dashboards, feeds, communications tools, the resource library, and storytelling tools help them amplify their results. You can go ahead and request an organizational profile HERE. If you wish to engage with groups, you will need to sign up for a Personal Profile.
